Unintentional Consequences

WRAL.com - Entertainment - ‘Cooter’ Urges Fans To Skip ‘Dukes’ Movie:

“Ben Jones, a former Georgia congressman who played the mechanic Cooter on the series, said profanity and sexual content in the film essentially trash what was a family-friendly show. He read a script of the movie, which comes out next month, and likens it to taking ‘I Love Lucy’ and turning Lucy into a ‘crackhead.’”

He probably didn’t meant to have this effect, but I want to see the movie even more now. :) I think it’s pretty comical that the story has a link to the preview of the movie.

“Yahoo! Movies Adds Netflix ‘Save’ Button”

I was just thinking the other day, that this would be handy. :) The link doesn’t go directly to the movie on Netflix, though. They actually seem to be linking to Netflix’s search with the title of the movie. Good enough to be handy, though.

Movies.

I just finished watching the Sci-Fi Channel movie Darklight. It wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. :) The all CG fight scene between two demony things was actually pretty well done. They had obviously motion-captured two stunt people fighting, but it looked a lot less cheesy than you would expect.

Last night I saw Blade: Trinity. That movie effing rocks. Hardcore. I think I might have to watch it again before Netflix gets their copy back. :)

One thing that surprised me was how ripped Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds were in this movie. It took me half the movie to place Ryan Reynolds as the guy from “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place” and Van Wilder. IMDB placed Jessica in “7th Heaven” for me (never watched the show, but saw the commercials). You expect Wesley Snipes to be stacked, but those two? Her shoulders, in particular, are practically as big as my head. Daaaaamn.

I so want to see that. It looks so horribly bad that it’s flipped the counter and become good. Or, at least funny.
