My first thought when I saw the Daily Show in iTunes was, “Finally!”
My second thought was, “Would I really pay $10 a month to watch the Daily Show?”
My third thought was this:
Leeloo: Leeloo Dallas mul-ti-pass. Korben Dallas: Yeah. Leeloo: Mul-ti-pass. Korben Dallas: Yeah, multipass, she knows it’s a multipass. Leeloo Dallas. This is my wife. Leeloo: Mul-ti-pass. Korben Dallas: We’re newlyweds. Just met. You know how it is. We bumped into each other, sparks happen… Leeloo: Mul-ti-pass. Korben Dallas: Yes, she knows it’s a multipass. Anyway, we’re in love
For what it’s worth, the answer is no, I won’t spend $10 a month to watch the Daily Show. Maybe half that. I do like the model, though.. it’s subscription without being auto-renewing and you’re guaranteed a number of shows, not a given timeframe worth of shows despite reruns. I suppose my math might be off, I’ll have to find out how many episodes are in a year, since they don’t do 52 weeks a year of new episodes.
