A note to my inner bitch.

Listen up!

If this last time is like every other time, you’ve gotten sick of the scale leveling off. You’re starting to think maybe you shouldn’t lift weights so much. You’re thinking, “Maybe I should do more cardio, that might help.”

Here’s the thing. Fuck the scale. That’s right, fuck it right in the ear.

This isn’t some touchy-feely, bullshit. I’m not saying scale weight doesn’t matter. I’m not saying you should be happy with yourself just the way you are. Blah blah blah.

I want you to remember the last time you slacked off because you didn’t actually like doing the cardio, or the asinine circuit workouts. Remember how good it feels to lift heavy things? Remember that you actually fucking enjoy it. That’s the key to keeping it up and that’s the only thing that matters. Keep doing it.

Don’t forget, you’ve proven you can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. Fuck what anyone says about how hard it is to do that. Go look at the spreadsheets if you don’t believe it. The numbers don’t lie, despite what you’re trying to convince yourself of at the moment. Caliper measurements go down, weight stays the same, you look better. Duh.

Stop over-thinking this shit you nimrod and go lift something heavy and drop it on your inner bitch.

To anyone reading, if you hear me whining about changing my routine because I’m not dropping weight fast enough tell me the inner bitch is back, smack me and tell me to re-read this post.
