Listen up!
If this last time is like every other time, you’ve gotten sick of the scale leveling off. You’re starting to think maybe you shouldn’t lift weights so much. You’re thinking, “Maybe I should do more cardio, that might help.”
Here’s the thing. Fuck the scale. That’s right, fuck it right in the ear.
This isn’t some touchy-feely, bullshit. I’m not saying scale weight doesn’t matter. I’m not saying you should be happy with yourself just the way you are. Blah blah blah.
I want you to remember the last time you slacked off because you didn’t actually like doing the cardio, or the asinine circuit workouts. Remember how good it feels to lift heavy things? Remember that you actually fucking enjoy it. That’s the key to keeping it up and that’s the only thing that matters. Keep doing it.
Don’t forget, you’ve proven you can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. Fuck what anyone says about how hard it is to do that. Go look at the spreadsheets if you don’t believe it. The numbers don’t lie, despite what you’re trying to convince yourself of at the moment. Caliper measurements go down, weight stays the same, you look better. Duh.
Stop over-thinking this shit you nimrod and go lift something heavy and drop it on your inner bitch.
To anyone reading, if you hear me whining about changing my routine because I’m not dropping weight fast enough tell me the inner bitch is back, smack me and tell me to re-read this post.

Okay, so there is a whiteboard that is in a hallway. People use it as a community art project. It’s entertainment galore. Today I saw it was erased and I was worried. Then I turned the corner and saw what had replaced the art project.
A nice seed for a new art project.
The zombies bit is a bit of an inside joke referring to the old whiteboard.

I admit it, I want this phone. Maybe I’ll change my mind when I see it in person. It doesn’t do EDGE. I don’t think I care. If the screen is decent and it’s not horrendously expensive, I’ll probably get it. Bluetooth, flip phone. The only other Cingular phone with both is the Motorola V551 and it doesn’t do Bluetooth sync with iSync. That kinda defeats the point.
Plus it matches my iBook. Okay, so maybe a little fashion conscious.
And I can use the car charger I have for my T68i.

And I’m glad for that.
He was in front of a urinal, Mr. Willie in one hand, Treo in the other. Apparently trying to send a text message. He then hovers awkwardly while he allows his companion to start washing his hands before barraging him with post-pee questions. The funniest part? He let his phone keep going off even when he had both hands free to deal with it.
I guaran-fucking-tee that one of two things is true:
- It’s not that important, it can wait 15 seconds for you to shake it off and wash your hands.
- It’s so world-coming-to-an-end important that you can hold it until it can wait the 15 seconds for you to shake it off and wash your hands.
I’m not sure which is worse, this guy or the guy (who I do know, but won’t name) whom I saw eating an apple while using the urinal. At least he waited until he was finished eating before washing his hands. *shudder*
